• Looking to rent a house or apartment? Look for a professional rental agent

The first advice for anybody looking for homes for rent in a town one is unfamiliar with, is to seek out professional advice from a rental agent. They will have many properties to select from and can offer information on different neighborhoods in the city you’ve chosen to reside in. Depending on your personal situation, you may wish to look at houses or condominiums rather than apartments, particularly if you have children and pets. If you think you may decide to purchase a home soon, you might choose to look at properties that are offered on a rent to own basis. Whenever children are involved the school system you will be moving into will be a high priority but you won’t know which is best if you’re not familiar with the city. So look for advice on that subject before looking at homes.

If you want at least three bedrooms you may need to look into single family homes rather than condos because they tend to be smaller in square footage. Depending on the time of year you are looking for rental homes for rent, the landlords may offer incentives such as two months free rent or a lower rental cost if you sign a contract for at least one year. Summer months are when many choose to move so there will be more vacancies than during the spring or fall. With the large amount of foreclosures currently on the market, prospective renters should have a good variety of homes or condos to choose from but make sure the landlord will fix any damages or broken appliances before you sign on the dotted line.

Check out the internet for rental properties in your price range. Many landlords rent directly from online inquiries and that saves you both time and money. We all need to live somewhere so why not make it a place you will look forward to coming home to.

  • Iraq and the origin of Beer

You must be wondering what a country like Iraq has to do with Beer. Is it any American policy to gain popularity in Iraq? – No, it’s not. Actually Iraq is the place where beer originated. Confused? Let me clear the air by telling you about the history of beer. It is recorded in history that beer originated by early Sumerians in the ancient land of Mesopotamia and Egypt, this place is exactly where modern Iraq lies. Sumerians, who where world’s first builders and farmers were also world’s first brewers and are believed to have migrated into Middle East from India. Manuscripts from that period suggest that beer was used as an offering to their goddess “Ninkasi”. After the Mesopotamian Empire was taken over by the Babylonian empire; Hammurabi, the sixth Babylonian king encouraged the fashion brewing beers but made rules for consumption of beer which was biased towards the males of the society. With the advent of Europeans in 3000BC, beer gained popularity among the German and Celtic tribes. This is how the western world owes to Iraq a great deal. If it hadn’t been this country then today bars would had been half empty. Thank you Iraq, for giving the world this wonderful gift.

  • Le Mans Series – Race of real cars

Formula 1 might be the pinnacle of motor-sports, but the technology is far removed from the one used for road cars. True, it is the breeding ground for innovation which subsequently becomes a part of road-cars, it is not a technological barometer for the road-legal cars. Even the American motor-sports such as NASCAR, Indy car etc, do not reflect the road car scenario. It is the racing such as Le Mans series that actually indicate the development of road-cars and actually contribute directly to their development.
According to the Le Mans specifications, there are four categories: Prototype1, Prototype2, GT1, GT2. The GT1 and GT2 are the categories that have to have a minimum number of street-legal production vehicles in the market. This is why we get cars such as Porsche GT3, Ferrari F430 on roads. There is a saying in motor-sports “race on Sunday, sell on Monday” which rings true for Le Mans series. The Le Mans Series races take place between March and September.

  • Cars – A passion

Cars have always been the boys most treasured toys. When they grow up to be men, they get to actually ride the real things. The preference of a particular type of cars of a man tells a lot about his personality. Usually American cars are known for muscle and Europeans known for on-track capabilities while Japanese are easy to tune.

Cars can be classified broadly into three categories according to their size: Sports, Luxury and MPV (trucks). Over the years, with advancements in the automobile industry, many sub-segments have evolved. For example, now we have segments such as Executive, Super-car, Hyper-car, Roadsters etc.

Another classification is based on the shape of the body of a car. Under this classification, cars with two doors are called Coupe, the ones with a retractable roof are called Convertibles, Convertible Coupes are called Cabriolets, cars with four doors are called Sedans or Saloons (British) and a hatchback is the car in which the boot lid hinges over the rear window itself.

  • Ferrari F430

A Ferrari F430 has a V8 whereas a Porsche 911 has a flat-six engine. This is common knowledge. But what exactly do those letters and figures mean? The ‘V’ and ‘flat’ actually signify the layout of cylinders in the engine and the ‘8′ and ’six’ the no. of cylinders. There are three types of engine layouts: Inline, Horizontally Opposed (also called Flat or Boxer layout) and V. Each layout has its own advantages. The layout is largely governed by the type, size and the shape of the vehicle.

An Inline engine is the one in which all the cylinders are placed parallel in a line in one bank. In the horizontally opposed layout, there are two banks opposite to each other in which the cylinders are arranged. A ‘V’ layout like a compromise between the two with the cylinders placed in two banks that are est in an angle to each other.
